Totems Project
For those of you who are familiar with my Totems Project, I am happy to tell you that 2010 was a resounding success. Thanks to your support, I was able to make a sizable donation to the Wolf Creek Environmental Center. The donation will be used to finance field trips for elementary age school children. Over 400 students will be able to participate in the educational programs at Wolf Creek in 2011. Many thanks to those who made that possible.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Totems Project, I initiated the program in 2008 with Nature’s Nursery (in Whitehouse, Ohio), donating a hard-earned portion of my retail sales. In 2009, I worked to support the Medina Raptor Center in Spencer, Ohio and the aforementioned Wolf Creek Environmental Center in 2010.

The Totems Project began in 2007 with my wish to give back to the very thing that influences my work the most. You will notice that all these organizations share a theme related to nature conservation, rehabilitation, or education. Much of my inspiration comes from nature and animals in all shapes and sizes. So in keeping with that theme for 2011, I have selected Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary in Ravenna, Ohio. They specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation of an often-overlooked portion of our animal friends - those being animals typically found in farmyards and or in peoples homes where they sometimes are neglected and or abused. By selecting Happy Trails, I hope to shed light on this worthy organization and help them with their efforts to rehabilitate and find homes for the many animals they rescue and tend to on an ongoing basis. They will be directly benefiting from any piece of my jewelry that bears the special Totems price tag. (represented below).

Thank you all, for any past support you may have provided or that you may provide in the future. Your purchases are very much appreciated.
